Nujiz Remove Audio Silence uses an adjustable audio threshold to detect quiet sections and remove silence that meets the processing conditions. You can select the detection threshold before processing.
The available settings are -50, -40, -35 and -30 dB, with -40 dB selected by default. The threshold affects which low-level sections are treated as silence during processing.
There is no single setting that fits every recording because background noise levels vary. Start with the default value, then try another threshold if the result removes more or less audio than expected.
The default silence threshold is -40 dB.
No. Its main purpose is to detect and remove silent sections according to the selected threshold; it is not a dedicated noise-removal tool.
The processed result is downloaded as MP3.
